"Creating Life as it Ought to Be"
The Reynolds Foundation is a private operating foundation that strives
to improve the lives of people, strengthen communities and sustain natural
resources in the Lake Oconee areas of Greene, Putnam and Morgan counties.
At its core, the Reynolds Foundation embraces the values of integrity,
exceptional quality and commitment and holds fast to the credo--"creating
life as it ought to be for all Members of our Community". Through
its programmatic initiatives, activities and events, the Reynolds Foundation
strives to create a better life for the citizens within the communities
it serves.
Making A Difference: Building on Success
Endowed in 2002, The Reynolds Foundation has contributed over $600,000
in charitable donations, grants and scholarships since its inception. In
2006 alone, the organization awarded over $100,000 to 11 organizations,
distributed $10,000 in scholarships to seniors at four local high schools
and completed a six-month relief effort for 32 families displaced by Hurricane
Katrina and is poised to do even more in 2007. Recently, the Foundation
completed a bold new strategic plan designed to enhance its involvement
in the Lake Oconee community through a broader range of programs and initiatives. |
