My cousin Jamie and I fondly recall spending time as young children along the banks of Richland Creek and the Oconee River. While my grandfather’s career took him to Chattanooga, he remembered Greene County every year in a special way with a donation of $100 to each church in the county. Our families were always concerned with preserving the legacy of our grandfathers, as well as the beauty of the region.
His grandchildren and great-grandchildren retain this philanthropic nature today, and from it The Reynolds Plantation Foundation was conceived. Launched in 2002 as an extension of the good work and generous contributions of these great men, the Foundation continues to grow and serve this region in a meaningful way.
We believe we have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals. We believe we all can and should take a leadership role in our community. However, no one can bring forth change without the support of the community on all levels. So I ask you to join us in making a difference and helping make “life as it ought to be” for all members of our community.
Thank you for your time and interest in The Reynolds Plantation Foundation.
